The Broncos overcame the loss of starting quarterback Trevor Siemian to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and earn their fourth straight win.

In the first quarter of the game, the Broncos got off to a quick start, scoring their first touchdown within 2 minutes after the game started.  Cornerback Aqib Talib intercepted a pass from Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston, giving the Broncos excellent field position. They took advantage of the play, with Siemian finding Demaryius Thomas for an 11 yard touchdown putting the Broncos up 7-0.  Later on in the quarter Jameis Winston ran the ball in for a 7 yard touchdown, which would be the Bucs only score of the game.

Aqib Talib started the second quarter the same way he started the first; with a second interception that lead to a Broncos touchdown.  CJ Anderson ran it in for a 1 yard touchdown – putting the Broncos ahead again.  In the last two minutes of the first half, Siemian was carted off the field after being driven into the ground on a sack.  Enter rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch, who displayed impressive passing in his first professional game.  Siemian was later cleared to play but would not return the rest of the game.  The second half ended with McManus kicking a field goal, to end the first half at 17-7 Broncos.

In the third quarter of the game no touchdowns were scored.  McManus kicked a 24 yard field goal early in the third, bringing the differential to 20-7.

In the fourth quarter Paxton Lynch threw his first NFL touchdown to Emmanuel Sanders; making the score 27-7.  Later on in the fourth quarter the game was delayed due to severe weather for the second game in a row in Tampa Bay.  The rest of the game was scoreless for both teams, with the Broncos winning it 27-7.

The Broncos defense continued their assault on opposing offenses, with Tampa Bay giving up three turnovers throughout the game.  The time of possession for Denver was 31:24 and 28:36 for the Buccaneers.
