In August of 2018, law enforcement searched for missing  Shanann Watts, who was fifteen weeks pregnant, and her children Bella and Celeste Watts, fathered by husband Chris Watts. From all appearances, the Watts seemed like the typical family next door. That illusion would quickly shatter after Chris Watts was arrested following his Channel 7 interview on aug. 14 pleading for his wife and children’s return. Chris failed a polygraph the next day and confessed to the crime, stating that Shanann had become enraged at Chris for wanting a divorce and strangled their two baby girls. On the 16th of August, all three bodies were found at Chris’s place of work. Chris was found guilty and received a life sentence.

Hosts Ashley Marcon and Kayla Rucinski wade in on the case that shook Colorado to its core. In particular, Marcon and Rucinski address the supernatural superstition of the case that was being circulated on social media after the 2020 Netflix documentary American Murder the Family Next Door was released. As well, the host share speculative theories.
