The biggest metal band on the planet is returning to Denver!
California legends Metallica finally announced an overdue North American tour on Monday morning following their raging performance with Lady Gaga at the Grammy Awards. It has been almost 9 (!!!) years since Metallica last played in Denver, but June 7th at Sports Authority Field will end that drought at last.
The WorldWired Tour, which is in support of their tenth studio album Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, is the first full North American tour the band will embark upon since their 2009 tour in support of their last record Death Magnetic. Direct support will come from fellow Cali stalwarts Avenged Sevenfold, and Dutch rollers Volbeat will open the show.
Tickets will be available to the public for purchase this Friday the 17th, with presale options from 106.7 KBPI, 94.3 KILO and Live Nation available this Thursday the 18th. Forsake not your longing for a live Metallica performance in your soul – be prepared to strike at 10 AM on Friday!
