If you’re a tea enthusiast or just looking for a break from the mainstream, you might want to stop by In-Tea for your new hangout.

In-Tea is on Main Street in downtown Littleton, just a quick walk from the ACC campus. Unlike Starbucks, whose primary focus is on all things coffee, as In-Tea’s name suggests, its primary focus is on everything tea.

With that exception aside, In-Tea is a lot like what someone would expect walking into a Starbucks: The primary focus is the drinks, and then there is an assortment of pastries and some merchandise for sale like teapots, teacups and tea sets.

The outside of the store doesn’t do justice to the small, comfortable interior. The employees are knowledgeable of the best ways to serve each blend of tea. For example, they carried four different blends of chai teas. And that was just the selection of chai teas. The store had quite a large variety – more than 160 different loose-leaf teas — for such a small shop. There were various different blends of each tea like Oolong, Black, White, and Green.

Pasties, including gluten-free offerings, are available.

Turning the attention to the lesser parts of the store, you find pastries and even a glance at them was enough to show they are of high quality. Gluten-free products are available.

The market side sells a small assortment of honeys and teapots. For tea enthusiasts, handmade clay teapots and teacups are offered for a higher price tag.

The shop also caters to those new to tea.

For those who do not know their preferences or do not know what kind of tea they may like, the employees and owner were more than happy to help one decide.

For a newcomer, they might start by asking simple preferences such as bitter or sweet, or more or less caffeine.

The process was also authentic when it came to preparing the tea to order.

The teas could require a 4-7 minute wait time, and that’s if they can make the tea right away without helping another customer. In case pure tea is not your thing, you also can find selected cocktails, including green tea vodka.

You can find pots and cups to make your own tea.
