The sound of success is available at ACC’s Music Audio Technology department
ACC’s Music Audio Technology department offers a lot for its students. Not only are there several opportunities on the campus to put their knowledge to use, students take classes that help specifically in their future career field.
If a student is interested in working with music, and more specifically the technology side of music, this is the degree for them. They can either get an associates or a Sound Engineering Certificate. Students will learn:
- How to operate sound consoles that synchronize, reproduce or mix music, voices and sound effects in recording studios
- Concepts and technical skills of live sound engineering.
- How to use computer music software and MIDI to create instrumental tracks for recordings and live performances.
- Fundamentals of sound and recording
- Digital and analog technology
- Recording
- Mixing
- Music software applications
