Students: It pays to remember to authorize your College Opportunity Fund

Every semester, ACC students need to authorize their Colorado Opportunity Fund (COF) to help lower the cost of their tuition.

Two simple steps help to fulfill this requirement:

• Applying for COF

• And authorizing COF

“The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is the State’s contribution to resident tuition rate,” says ACC’s page on COF financial aid.

“COF eligibility requires a COF stipend application. It currently pays $75/credit hour for the 2014-2015 academic year (for example, a student taking 12 credit hours of coursework would save $900 on his or her tuition for the semester) and is set annually by the Colorado General Assembly.”

Students can find the COF box through their student account on Arapahoe.edu under the student tab.

Underneath the Student Grades lies the COF box. Simply click on the links to apply and authorize your COF. COF takes 3 days to update to the billing system.
