Financial Aid is the place to go for Work-Study on-campus jobs

ACC may be able to help students find on-campus jobs with its Work-Study Program, which operates through FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Students must apply for FASFA to be eligible for work study. If FASFA indicates that a student has sufficient need, he or she will be allowed to apply for a position on campus.

The bulletin board outside the Financial Aid office lists ACC’s Work-Study openings. By using the information provided, students may apply for any of the open positions.

Shifts are different based on the type of Work-Study position available. Shifts can vary, but students are limited to 20 hours a week.

Rate of pay is initially $10 an hour, but it can be raised to $10.50 if the student has been working there for a semester. A key advantage of on-campus work is that it doesn’t require transportation or transit time to get to the jobs.

Instead of having to go off campus to work, the student can just go to classes, go to their Work-Study, and go back to classes.

Students may apply for several job positions, depending on where vacancies exist at the time of application:

• Art & Design Information Desk Associate

• BACCHUS Initiatives Program Assistant

• Data Entry Specialist

• Disability Services Notetaker

• Early Childhood Classroom Assistant

• EHS Office/Lab Assistant

• eLearning Assistant

• Financial Aid Work Study

• Library Assistant

• Mortuary Science and Nurse Aide

• Student Ambassador

• Workforce Training – Parker Campus
