David Cumming, People + Places Editor
Originally from Wisconsin, son of Canadian parents, David has lived in multiple parts of the United States as well as Japan. He speaks French, poor Japanese, a little Tagalog, and is interested in travel, and all things foreign. As a former Naval Aviation avionics technician, David knows there is nothing more horrifying than a helicopter taking off a vessel on a rocky sea, but he loved it anyways. The most interesting place he’s ever been to was Zhanjiang, China. If he had to choose any place to exist, it would be Aomori-ken, northern Honshu, Japan. The combination of mountains and ocean is beautiful.
