ACC’s Creative Writing (CW) Club hosts their annual grand finale Open Mic Night Out, this Friday, in the charming and cabinesque Depot Art Gallery, less than a mile from campus.
Student club leaders and members alike welcome all to the show for an evening of camaraderie amidst all genres of literary art, … including yours if you wanna!
There will be a sign up sheet open to all (ACC student, or not); readers are asked to keep their performance to a limit of five minutes or fewer. Poetry, flash and micro fiction, and other short prose pieces that adhere to the limit are encouraged; due to particular limits, musical acts are not.
The CW Club will provide food and bev options of pizza (from Jet’s), fruit, tea options provided by iN-TEA, and cookies (with gluten free options available).
The Depot Art Gallery is run by the Littleton Fine Arts Guild, established in 1962, and itself is an historical landmark, an actual former Santa Fe Railroad depot that was relocated from its original spot to its current (click the link for more historical and architectural detail).
The Creative Writing Club has hosted a slew of student-focused events and opportunities over the academic year, led by co-Presidents Sophia Johnson and Jesse Taylor, and Treasurer Mckenna Irwin.
Timeframe: Begins at 4pm | 4:30 readings begin | slated to end around 7.
Come enjoy and participate in what is sure to be a memorable event for all!
