Hey folks! My name is Zachary Morrato, and I’m studying Computer Science at the Arapahoe Community College! I began my journey at the Littleton Campus in the Fall 2025 Semester, and I’ll be attending the Castle Rock Campus in the Spring 2026 Semester.

My interest in journalism began during my sophomore year at the Cherokee Trail High School (Class of 2025). We had a strong and well-organized journalism program that produced a special section of the advisory announcements every couple of weeks on Wednesdays. Through that program, I had the opportunity to anchor in a show and publish several press pieces, one of which earned a 2023 state award from the Colorado Student Media Association for third place in Human Interest Features. From there, it sparked my passion for broadcasting, although I wasn’t able to pursue it further until I joined the Arapahoe Pinnacle due credit issues. Hence, my work in this program will be focused almost entirely on video journalism.

As the upcoming Vice President of the club for the Spring 2026 semester, my goals are to help establish an Arapahoe Pinnacle Broadcasting program and to also expand the clubs presence to the Castle Rock Campus.
