A sweet kind of therapy awaits you in Downtown Littleton
If you need a quick therapy session between classes, you need not make an appointment, thanks to a downtown Littleton shop called The Chocolate Therapist.
Just a six-minute walk north from ACC’s Littleton campus – and situated right on historic Main Street – it’s easy to visit. This therapist requires no insurance, so you can forget about paperwork when you’re looking for a tasty chocolate or caffeinated beverage guaranteed to satisfy overworked brains.
Founder Julie Pech has studied nutrition much of her life. That has helped her write a book about the advantages of chocolate: “The Chocolate Therapist, A User’s Guide to the Extraordinary Health Benefits of Chocolate.” The book combines Pech’s chocolate knowledge, sense of humor and nutrition expertise. Thanks to the success of her book, Perch was able to expand her knowledge of chocolate into a storefront where she sells her authentic handcrafted, all-natural chocolate and self-branded coffee beans.
In addition to understanding the health benefits of chocolate, Pech has figured out how to pair chocolate with wine, another treat that many say has health advantages. According to her official website, “She did extensive homework pairing chocolate flavors and wine, ultimately custom designing her own chocolate recipes created with natural chocolate, nuts, berries, spices and organic flavoring oils.” The Chocolate Therapist also offers frequent evening Chocolate and Wine Pairing classes.
In the daytime, however, students (or anyone else) can find a yummy morsel or pastry, or coffee that baristas will prepare.
So what are you waiting for?
The doctor – er, therapist – is in. Well, at least an assistant, anyway.

Julie has come and spoken to my Intro to Business classes before and told her story. She brought samples too and chocolate is delicious and she is wonderful!
