The Annual Craft Fair Returns to Littleton
The annual Littleton Craft Fair returned to scenic Ketring Park last Saturday. Hundreds of vendors set up their tents to sell various goods. Items of all types were for sale: honey jars to children’s bows and arrows to the tiniest pieces of jewelry to the biggest iron yard signs. In addition, multiple concession stands were set up from various organizations around the Littleton area; serving breakfast, lunch and snack foods. This was hosted and put together by the incredible Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum.
Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum is a community organization dedicated to supporting (you guessed it) the Littleton Library and Museum. The adult and summer reading programs for all ages wouldn’t be possible without this fabulous organization. They also provide special equipment for the library: computers, TVs, special software and much more. On the museum side of things, the organization hosts special workshops throughout the year. They fund the purchase of items for the museum as well: pigs, chickens, seeds, trees and all kinds of items for the indoor museum displays. In addition, Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum hosts all sorts of events for the public. Children’s writing contests at the library, the Holiday’s Eve and Harvest Festival at the museum, the annual craft fairs and used book sales – they do it all!
Keep an eye out for Littleton’s next big event! The annual Harvest Festival is coming to the Littleton Museum this Saturday, October 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the 1860s farm section of the museum; come pick out a pumpkin, eat some good food, enjoy a hayride and other fun activities!
