ACC’s Writers Studio presents: Women Write The Rockies and Beyond, March 10th

On Thursday, March 10th, ACC’s Writers Studio  will present: Women Write The Rockies and Beyond: A Celebration of International Women’s Day, a poetry and fiction reading exploring cultural identity and social awareness. The event will take place on the Littleton Main Campus in the Half Moon from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

A “Meet the Writers” hors d’oeuvres reception and silent auction fundraiser will come before the reading, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The reading will begin shortly before 6:30 p.m.. After the reading, the authors will be available for book signings and book sales.

From the Writers Studio: “In the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, a collective of women’s voices in celebration of International Women’s Day explores cultural identity and social awareness in the 21st century. Acclaimed writers share their stories and poems on the “writing walls” of Chinese immigrants detained at Angel Island, warscapes and their healers and caregivers, tenderness and poverty at the borderlines, spirituality and the survivors of domestic violence, and the “rocky canyons” of the heart. Join writers Elisabeth Hyde, Sheryl Luna, Rita Brady Kiefer, Marilyn Krysl, and Teow Lim Goh for a discussion and reading of their work.” More information on the writers can be found here on the ACC website.

ACC Writers Studio sponsors a $500 Writers Studio Scholarship for talented young students pursuing their dreams in creative writing.
