Student art exhibition to be held, submission deadline Wednesday
The Colorado Gallery of Arts at ACC will host a fine art juried student exhibition March 28th through April 13th, 2016. Any ACC student who has been enrolled in an ART course during the Spring 2015-2016 school year is encouraged to enter.
The juror for this student exhibition will be Collin Parson, Gallery Exhibition Manager at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities.
The entries for the Student Exhibition are due the week ACC students returns from Spring Break. Anyone who plans to enter the show should pick up an entry form from an ART teacher and spend the break preparing entries for the exhibition.
Entries will be received March 21st through 23rd, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Colorado Gallery of Arts; Jewelry and Metals students are expected to deliver their entries to the Jewelry Coordinator.
Accepted works must be the result of coursework in an ACC ART class: Ceramics, Design, Drawing, Glass, Painting, Printmaking, Jewelry and Metalwork, Photography, Digital Imaging and Sculpture. Students are allowed up to four entries, in any combination of media.
Submissions in Design, Digital Imaging, Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, and Watercolor must be framed behind glass; Paintings must be dry and either framed or have embellished sides. All hanging works must have wire installed securely to the back to ensure proper hanging on the gallery wall. Sculptures must be stable and not easily tipped, they must also fit comfortably on the gallery’s pedestals, or the artist must provide a plate stand.
Artwork submitted to the exhibition can be marked for sale. The Colorado Gallery of Arts will keep 35% of the proceeds and the student will receive the rest after the exhibition concludes. If you do not wish to sell your artwork, it should be marked NFS (not for sale) and include the insurance value that will cover any accidental damages that may occur at the gallery during the exhibition.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be March 31st, from 5 to 7 p.m., exhibited work will be held until the exhibition closes and will be returned to the artist between April 13th and 15th, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m..

You’re so interesting! I don’t think I have read anything like this before. So wonderful to discover somebody with some unique thoughts on this subject matter.
