ACC’s Library & Learning Commons has a Student Advisory Board and all students have the chance to fill out an application to be one of the advisors. The Student Advisory Board is here so that students can attend meetings to give their thoughts on issues involving the campus. These include services, events, outreach and more. All students are encouraged to fill out an application if they have the following:

  • Comfortable talking to peers and gathering opinions, ideas and suggestions.
  • Able to articulate ideas to staff members and fellow Board members in a professional manner.
  • In good standing with ACC and enrolled for Spring 2016 semester.
  • Committed to attending 1-hour monthly meetings.

There are many benefits to being a part of the Student Advisory Board. Students can learn development/enhancement of skills and experience and competencies that can be marketed in a future job/internship search. Students who are part of this also gain leadership experience and enhance communication skills while working with staff and peers.
