Need a pick me up? Try Jake’s brew bar
If you are searching for a good place to hang out between classes, Jake’s brew bar could be just the place for you. It’s just a short walk from the ACC Littleton campus.
Owned by a Littleton mother-daughter duo, Jake’s is cleverly named after their parent/grandparent.
Jake’s serves coffee and craft beer along with a variety of deli and snack items.
As early as 7 a.m., you can find a comfortable environment to study, prepare for exams or wind down after a busy week. Jake’s is spacious, with plenty of tables large enough to accommodate a student’s books and laptop. It also has free Wi-Fi, so you can send assignments to the Dropbox without ever leaving your seat. Well, until you need another drink, that is.
If completing schoolwork in a bar doesn’t appeal to you, Jake’s has a bookshelf stocked with a numerous board games. With no age restrictions on who enters, the overall environment seems to welcome a variety of visitors for an extended stay.
After 2 p.m., Jake’s opens its next-door lounge where it serves a rotating assortment of craft beers and wine, and often hosts live musicians at no extra cover charge.
Regardless of if you’re looking for a before-class pick me up or an after-exams celebration drink, Jake’s might well be worth the walk from ACC.

Yes, I do play every Tuesday afternoon at Jake’s, from 4-6PM. I have been doing this for more than a year. My music is instrumental fingerstyle acoustic guitar, in the style of John Fahey. Most of my music I compose. I no longer bring my guitar to any campus events (the celebration of the student newspaper was an exception), but I can say there is a wonderful ambiance at Jake’s and that’s why I continue to play there. I play in the west entrance room, not the east entrance room.

Thanks to this article, I met my Spanish Tutor there last Saturday. The environment was nice, and I had a fantastic cappuccino! I will definitely be visiting again soon!

I love Jake’s! I hear they have a decent brew selection too ;).
Bonus: Professor Broome (who played for us on our second day of launch celebration) plays there on Tuesday afternoons.
