Owned by a Littleton mother-daughter duo, Jake’s is cleverly named after their parent/grandparent.

Jake’s is spacious, with plenty of tables large enough to accommodate a student’s books and laptop. It also has free Wi-Fi, so you can send assignments to the Dropbox without ever leaving your seat. Well, until you need another drink, that is.

If completing schoolwork in a bar doesn’t appeal to you, Jake’s has a bookshelf stocked with a numerous board games. With no age restrictions on who enters, the overall environment seems to welcome a variety of visitors for an extended stay.

After 2 p.m., Jake’s opens its next-door lounge where it serves a rotating assortment of craft beers and wine, and often hosts live musicians at no extra cover charge.
