Mickey Mouse Says Merry Christmas
Gobble gobble? Nope. It’s ‘Merry Christmas’ in Disneyworld right now, bringing holiday cheer a bit early this year.
Lisa Borotkanics, the manager of Disney Holiday Services, showed a sneak peek of the park’s holiday transformation on Youtube. She discussed the park’s transformation to a holiday theme and what a special time of the year for the park.
“It is a massive park effort. It’s an amazing process, everyone working together to transform and make this a winter wonderland… The most amazing thing to see is the moment the guests come in when the park is decorated for Christmas.”
This Thursday, on November 9th, guests that entered the park enjoyed the event of ‘Jingle Be, Jingle Bam!’ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The event consisted of buildings and rooftops being flooded with color as they play scenes from movies such as Beauty and the Beast, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and other classic favorites.
There’s also ‘Candlelight Processional’ to look forward to. Hosted by Epcot, the event will feature a 50 piece orchestra and choir, and many famous storytellers such as:
Matt Bomer: (November 27th and 28th)
Whoopi Goldberg: (Dec 1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
Kurt Russel: (December 9th, 10th, and 11th)
Neil Patrick Harris: (December 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st)
Other narrators will join these celebrity storytellers as well.
All four main parks in Disneyworld are getting the Christmas makeover. The four main parks are Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and the Animal Kingdom.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Magic Holiday Celebration premieres on November 30th at 9 p.m. On December 25th, Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration will premiere at 10 a.m. Jesse Palmer is hosting the holiday celebration at Disneyland in California. Other Disney parks in the world will participate in the holiday events too.
On November 9th, the holiday celebration began with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. People who didn’t make it, don’t need to be a humbug. Around the world, people can live-stream ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’. The special contains their favorite characters from the hit movie Frozen and will show Queen Elsa transforming Cinderella’s Castle into an ice palace.
Disneyworld is celebrating the holiday season early, so if you’re planning to go this year or one year then make sure to check out their website or watch videos on Youtube to see which event best suits you.
I wouldn’t forget to mention the die-hard Disneyland goers. Here’s what Disney over in California is doing.
