Last Weekend to See Denver’s Solar Decathlon

Student teams design and build full-size, solar-powered houses.

Tiny home and sustainability enthusiasts would be remiss in not attending the free tours of the Solar Decathlon village on 61st & Peña Station on the University of Colorado A commuter rail. The U.S. Department of Energy created the Solar Decathlon as a collegiate competition that challenges students to design and build full-size, solar-powered houses. Houses are judged by their design, energy production, market potential, and water efficiency.
